Along the north coast of the island there are mostly rocky beaches offering a perfect tide for surfing: Bañaderos, Quintanilla and San Andrés. Further on, on the northwest tip of the island, there is a fishing village of Agaete with a rocky beach located in Puerto de las Nieves.

To the south of the island, you can find the volcanic-sand beaches that surround the coast of Telde: Playa del Hombre, Playa de La Garita, Playa de Melenara and Playa de Salinetas.

Last but not least, in the southern part of Gran Canaria, there are the best-known beaches ideal for everyone: San Agustín, Playa del Inglés, Maspalomas, Puerto Rico, Amadores and Mogán.
